ESPN's
The Journey of Richard Jensen

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Al's Morning Meeting is a compendium of ideas, edited story excerpts and other materials from a variety of Web sites, as well as original concepts and analysis. When the information comes directly from another source, it will be attributed and a link will be provided whenever possible. The column is fact-checked, but depends on the accuracy and integrity of the original sources cited. We will correct errors and inaccuracies when we become aware of them.
Searching for Those Lost in Papua New Guinea
The Boston Globe
produced
a large package of stories and online interactives that detail the ways in which the Pentagon is trying to give closure to the families of more than 2,000 American pilots and crew members who were lost in Papua New Guinea during World War II.
The Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office acts as a clearinghouse for information about those who are missing in action all the way back to World War II.
The office's Web site
lets you find the names and home cities/counties of those who are missing from each war.
