Waiting for the World Cup 2006

"Soccer" in U.S. and "football" everywhere else, the sport with most fans in the world, will have its World Cup competition in Germany in June.

News sites are readying for this, even in countries that don't have a team in the competition, such as Chile (which tried hard but couldn't get in -- sniff!). Cooperativa, Emol and La Segunda introduced special sites one month before the kick off.

In other countries this work is in progress, such as La Nación in Argentina, BBC in the U.K. or Terra in the U.S (in English and Spanish).
