End of Micropayments in Denmark
Valus
valus.dk
The micropayment system Valus has lost media confidence in Denmark.
A couple of days ago the Danish Association of Internet Media (FDIM) announced that they're officially stopping their cooperation with the micropayment system Valus. No wonder -- it's been years since I last saw a site offering me the option to pay with Valus.

Back in 2002 when Valus was launched as the way to finally get online readers to pay for content, FDIM chairman Rune Bech expected that it would take five years to achieve a breakthrough in micropayments.

...Well, he was half right. It did in fact take five years -- for FDIM to realize that micropayments apparently wasn't a solution to anything. With today's high-speed net connections it's probably a lot easier for consumers to "pay" by watching ads.

One minor point... With today's high-speed net connections it's probably a lot easier... More.
