When the publisher and the editor-in-chief of the Toronto Star left their posts last week, readers had to turn to other papers to learn why the execs departed. Star ombud Sharon Burnside writes: "How would the paper cover the story if it was happening to someone else? The paper would have chased it. I think Star readers deserved an analytical story, particularly in the midst of a high profile marketing campaign themed, 'Ask Why.'" More editor/ombud columns:
