Allentown (Pa.) Morning Call | Newsday.com
Sam Zell's
remark in the New Yorker about getting calls from people interested in parts of Tribune has the Morning Call asking: "Could a group of local investors be interested in buying back the paper from a large conglomerate, similar to the group that now owns the Philadelphia Inquirer?"
Irwin Greenberg, retired chairman of Hess's Department Store chain, says he'll discuss an effort to buy the Morning Call "in about a month.'' Zell's spokeswoman won't comment. || Related
