Kevin Martin today proposed exempting Tribune Co. for two years from rules prohibiting ownership of newspaper and TV stations in the same market. The proposal, which is expected to be approved by the FCC within days, should clear the way for Tribune to close by the end of the year its $8.2-billion deal to go private. || Related
