BusinessWeek.com executive editor John Byrne says the business press "allowed new players like Yahoo, MSN, and AOL to come into our territory, to develop no content at all and become the dominant players. ...Now, I think pretty much all of us have been awoken to the fact that this has happened and now we have to fix it." He predicts that Rupert Murdoch will open up wsj.com "because it would be a checkmate move against Yahoo Finance. It won't happen overnight but Yahoo Finance can't beat the Wall Street Journal's content."
