Mike Hiestand of the Student Press Law Center says of Gannett's interest in the paper: "What I would hope to see from Gannett is a very clear, unambiguous promise that this is going to remain a student paper. The bottom line is, this can't be a student newspaper if it is being edited by professional grownups." ||
The Collegian: "We will not accept corporate ownership."
