In late May, Record publisher Stephen Borg said that he asked editor Frank Scandale to learn more about the paper's perceived liberal bias and come up with ways to address it. Scandale begins his mission: "This is the first column in a series over the next six months looking into bias. I want to know what constitutes it in the eyes of the readers, find specific examples of it and address it."
