Romenesko Memos
Star-Ledger publisher George Arwady reminds his staff that since its inception more than 25 years ago, the company's job-security pledge protects "our full-time non-represented daily newspaper employees from layoffs so long as the newspaper continues to publish daily in its current newsprint form." He notes that it "never was intended to apply to weekly publications or to distribution of content over the internet." (Update: I'm told that this memo was distributed today at other Newhouse papers.)
