Kejal Vyas was devastated when a New York Times editor sent this e-mail about the internship program: "Based on what
Allan Wolper has
written about us, I cannot imagine that he would want one of his students to intern here. I guess if we need students from New Jersey, we will go elsewhere." A Times spokeswoman says there's no "ban" on Rutgers students at the Times. Also, she adds, the program is only for grad students so Vyas isn't eligible.
