Philadelphia Inquirer
Philadelphia PR specialist
Brian Pace Tierney says he and his financial backers aren't planning to make the Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News partisans for any special interest if their bid to buy the newspapers is successful. He tells
Joseph N. DiStefano he wants to give the Inquirer more personality. "They're great products," Tierney says of the two KR papers, but "they aren't marketed as they should be." Too many Inquirer promotions and suburban pushes have been "halfhearted, starting and stopping. We want to win."
