In Summer and in Sickness: The need for good books
Read a good book lately? I'm always in search of a good read, but none more so than in summer or when I'm sick, or in this case, both. The culprit is particularly stubborn case of bronchitis that lots of friends and colleagues and my 89-year-old mother have been struggling with over the past few months. At times like this, book recommendations can prove as curative as antibiotics.

As a starting point, here's a column on the subject from 2004.
