Journalism ethicist Bob Steele says there was no need for the Daily News to warn Sevens that the conversation would be web-posted.
"I don't think that a U.S. senator is ever going to be overtaken by the evolving platforms of the mass media. The senator and his staff should be well aware that news organizations now gather and tell stories in multi-media fashion," Steele argued.
