Douglas Clifford

Douglas Clifford is a staff photojournalist with the Tampa Bay Times, responsible for coordinating and documenting day-to-day visuals, including still photography for daily and project reporting for the newspaper and tampabay.com.
Clifford previously worked with the Gainesville Sun, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Hernando Today newspapers before joining the Times’ staff in 1998. During his career with the Times, he has documented close to 10,000 assignments, including daily news and feature stories from the entire Tampa Bay area, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and has been a team member of the Times’ hurricane team since the beginning of his tenure taking him into the eyes of many storms, including the landfall of Katrina, in New Orleans, La., Hurricane Michael, in the Florida Panhandle, and most recently Hurricane Ian at Fort Myers Beach.
Clifford is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, he graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl.
