Karen Palmer

Karen Palmer worked for over 20 years as an assignment editor, producer, and senior producer at CBS News, CNN, and MSNBC. Later on, she supported a variety of organizations including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Human Rights Watch, the New York Women’s Foundation, and the World Science Festival as a coach, media trainer, public speaking consultant, and event producer, giving her a unique perspective on the challenges and possibilities of leadership, growth, and organizational change.

Karen’s background in corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy work then led to her recruitment as the founding director of operations for a new public charter elementary school in New York City. Her tenure there inspired her to coach school leaders across the city and New York State, and also help them develop effective systems to promote excellence in staff performance.

Her coaching practice serves clients in a wide range of fields including business, media, nonprofit, education, and the arts.
