Clint Hendler reports that the White House is encouraging citizens to tweet questions to Press Secretary Robert Gibbs prior to the live, daily press briefing.

Gibbs tweeted about the program himself Thursday morning:

“Something new: You take first crack. Use #1q in a q & I’ll answer 1 on vid before today’s briefing. What do you want to know?”

Hendler writes that it is unclear if this is a one-time opportunity or ongoing outreach.
