The Canadian Press (CP) news agency and Atlas Telecom Mobile are teaming up to deliver news headlines via cellphones. “For newspapers and broadcasters, it is a new way to interact with their audience and increase their revenues,” according to Atlas chief executive Paul Forostowsky. More than 39 million text messages were sent in December 2003, according to the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association.
