Super Micro Computer has purchased the San Jose, Calif., headquarters of the Mercury News, Nathan Donato-Weinstein reports.
The computer company is “contemplating knocking down the buildings — a 312,000-square-foot main building, 12,000-square-foot garage, and printing plant — to create new manufacturing space,” Donato-Weinstein writes. The newspaper would lease its current offices until it finds new space.
The company announced in April it would sell its 36-acre campus.
