Blog-search service Technorati
has added some nice features. I use the service to seek out blog posts
on various topics, as well as keep tabs on what bloggers are saying
about me. A nifty new feature, seen in the screen-grab here, is a chart
that tracks how often your topic has been mentioned in the blogosphere
in recent weeks. This chart shows mentions of Poynter in the last month.

Technorati also has added a box (below “Who’s blogging about …”)
showing the most recent photographs submitted to the Buzznet and Flickr
photo-sharing services that are tagged with your topic. In the Poynter
example, people who attended recent Poynter seminars and took pictures
there tagged them as “Poynter” on Flickr, so they show up here.

This is particularly useful for “ego surfers.”
