Whether the news biz is ready for them or not, journalism school graduates head out in just a few weeks to find their first newsroom jobs. These graduates have committed themselves to the practice and need inspiration for their searches. Given the difficulties the industry is facing, it seems fitting to ask: How do you inspire someone entering a newsroom?
That’s the topic of this week’s educators live chat on Friday, April 24, at 1 p.m. EDT. During the chat, Poynter’s Sara Quinn and Joy Mayer of the University of Missouri will offer advice related to this question and will welcome tips, expertise and questions from participants.
And, please spread the word! We’d like to include as many voices into the conversation as we can.
Also, we are developing future chat ideas for hosts and topics. You can share your thoughts and suggestions in our Journalism Education group.
