Ana Arana is Director of Development and News Partnerships at MuckRock Foundation. An award-winning U.S. veteran investigative journalist, she is a former foreign correspondent who reported for three decades in Latin America and Africa. The former Acting Director/Director of Operations at the Fund for Investigative Journalism, she has received multiple journalism awards, including a Peabody Award, two Overseas Press Club Awards, and a Dart Award for Excellence, among others. At MuckRock she spearheads a partnership project with ethnic media outlets like the Crusader, and non-profits, offering data and advanced reporting training to various newspapers in Chicago and Texas.
