A journalist and writer, CD Davidson-Hiers grew up on a 40-acre horse farm in the Panhandle. Her stories on Florida, culture, environment, and politics have appeared in Flamingo Magazine, The Nation, USAToday, and many more. Her pandemic coverage resulted in widespread national media attention. In 2020, she founded the Florida Student News Watch, a student journalism mentorship program.
