Erica Beshears Perel is the outgoing general manager at The Daily Tar Heel, the independent student newsroom at UNC-Chapel Hill. In mid-April, she will be the director of the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Local Media at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
