Jerry Zremski has been a lecturer and Local News Network Leader at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the the University of Maryland since July 2022, when he was brought in to lead the college's new Local News Network. It aims to bolster local news coverage throughout the state of Maryland. Zremski had been Washington bureau chief of The Buffalo News since January 2007 and now is a part-time enterprise reporter there. ki joined The Buffalo News in 1984 as a business reporter and has been a Washington reporter for the News since 1989. Zremski served as president of the National Press Club in 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in newspaper journalism from Syracuse University, and a master's degree in political science from American University and was a Nieman fellow.
