Justin Murphy is a freelance journalist who spent 14 years as a newspaper reporter, including 12 with the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York. He is the author of “Your Children Are Very Greatly in Danger: School Segregation in Rochester, New York.” He is the research and communications coordinator for Our Local History, a nonprofit that creates educational resources about the local history of civil rights.
