Kim Kleman is the executive director of Report for America, a nonprofit program that places journalists in local newsrooms and helps newsrooms seek philanthropic support from within the communities they serve. Previously, Kleman was editor-in-chief of Consumer Reports, editor-in-chief at The American Lawyer, and an editor and reporter at the St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times). Her passion for local news was sparked at her first job, covering six small towns in Polk County, Florida, for the Tampa Tribune.
