Rich is an online news industry veteran who currently serves as the new media program chair and associate professor at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. He has been the new media director of the Miami Herald, and served as technology coordinator and Broward Edition weekend editor for that paper. He's also been an editor and reporter at the Palm Beach Post and Richmond Times-Dispatch.
