Susanna Capelouto is the Southern Bureau Chief for NPR. Before joining NPR, she was the Deputy Managing Editor at public radio station WABE in Atlanta. During her career Susanna was an editor at CNN Radio, wrote for CNN Digital and worked as news editor at CNN's International desk. She served as News Director for Georgia Public Broadcasting and covered the Georgia state legislature as a reporter early in her career. Susanna is a certified beekeeper through the University of Georgia Bee Lab and has been keeping bees for seven years. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and lots of bees in her backyard.
