TyLisa C. Johnson is Poynter’s audience engagement producer. She is an award-winning reporter who previously wrote about social and cultural topics including hunger, libraries and pandemic education at publications including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Dallas Morning News and the Tampa Bay Times. Most recently she was the first audience engagement editor at PublicSource in Pittsburgh, PA. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University’s School of Journalism, where she graduated with the highest honors.
