How can I complete a payment without using a PayPal account?

You don’t have to create a PayPal account. Our checkout process has the PayPal payment function, but it also allows users to checkout as a guest without creating a PayPal account. Here’s how:

On the Checkout page, review the options to save payment information, receive more updates from Poynter and agree to our terms and conditions. You will also notice a message explaining that you do not need a PayPal account to complete payment.

To complete payment, with or without PayPal, please click the PayPal Checkout button to proceed.

After clicking the PayPal Checkout button, you will be redirected to a page where you can choose to Pay with Debit or Credit Card.

The next step will be to add your email address. This is needed to send your payment confirmation. This will not automatically create a PayPal account. Please enter your email address to continue through the process.

You will then continue to add your payment details and can turn off the button that will create a PayPal account. In the illustration below, you will see that the button is blue and the message says “Create my PayPal account…” Click on the button to turn this function off and continue as a guest.

After turning the “Create my PayPal account” button off, the message should change. You may now see a message encouraging you to create a PayPal account but you can still click the Pay Now button to complete your transaction.
