Andrea Lopez-Villafana

Andrea Lopez-Villafana is the managing editor of daily news at Voice of San Diego, in San Diego, California. Lopez-Villafana was previously a community reporter at The San Diego Union-Tribune where she covered the city’s underserved and underrepresented communities. She is a graduate of San Diego State University. She currently serves as president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists San Diego-Tijuana chapter. She is a DACA recipient and has dedicated her career to uplifting the voices of communities not usually told in the media.
