Christina Tsosie

Christina Tsosie is the first Navajo woman to manage the Gallup Independent. Her succession to the position came after the majority of reporters voiced their support for her promotion. She has written on challenges surrounding native communities have faced in and around Gallup, New Mexico, and highlighted accomplishments of local military service people and veterans. Tsosie is a first-generation college graduate and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She majored in English-mass communications and hopes to continue her education in the fall to pursue a master’s degree.
