Dionne “Dee” Williams, MPS, is a Lead Statistical Programmer / Web Application Developer for Web-Based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS). She is responsible for the analyses and web application design, data system development, and management of WISQARS. She works for the Programming & Web Applications Team/Division of Injury Prevention in CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC).
Dionne was one of the original developers of the WISQARS application at CDC, where she has worked since 1998. She received her MPS in Probability and Statistics from Auburn University in 1996. And she received her BS in Mathematics from Spelman College in 1994.
Dionne has been a coauthor for papers on injury data in CDC’s MMWR and other public health journals. She also teaches a 3-day WISQARS course through Columbia University Department of Epidemiology’s episummer@columbia program.
