Donna Lowry

Donna Lowry combines a passion for storytelling with a desire to empower others with the communication and critical thinking skills essential to the awareness of racial, gender, ethnic, and cultural diversity issues that play a part in media reporting and representation. She is a communications consultant and award-winning journalist who currently hosts a political news program for Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta. Donna Lowry Communications provides consulting, writing, and producing services for educational, media, professional, and business outlets. Lowry spent nearly 30 years at WXIA-TV, where she won seven Regional Emmy Awards. In 2013, the Southeastern Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences inducted her into the prestigious Silver Circle. In recent years, she served as communications director for two of Georgia’s largest school districts.
