Faye D’Souza is an award winning journalist whose non-partisan approach to journalism on social media has gained her over 3 million followers across social media platforms. Her news app, Beetroot News, aims to provide users access to credible news with a focus on facts, context and dignity — the dignity of the information, the journalist, speakers, and, most of all, the audience.

Faye began her career at CNBC-TV18 covering business and finance, economic crime and corporate affairs. She moved to ET Now where she continued her focus on personal finance reporting. When Faye joined Mirror Now she became the youngest woman to head any national TV news as Executive Editor. Her work at Mirror Now covered a wide array of pressing social and civic issues and cemented her reputation as one of India’s foremost journalists, known for her unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity and her dedication to shedding light on issues of public interest.

Faye has been the recipient of the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism, the RedInk Award for “Journalist of the Year” in 2018 and the RedInk Award for reporting on health in 2021. She was also named Vogue’s Woman of the Year and Impact’s 40 under 40 several times.
