Julia Fitzgerald

Julia Fitzgerald is a producer at the Poynter Institute responsible for developing and executing training programs for journalists from all over the US and abroad. Originally from New York, Julia moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 2020 and joined Poynter in 2023. Julia came to the team with a wide range of experience as both an events specialist and a video producer and loves experimenting with the latest technological tools to create interactive online learning experiences. She holds a BA in International Studies from CUNY City College and earned her MFA in Television Production and Emerging Media from CUNY Brooklyn College in 2018.
