Katie Barnes is an award winning journalist at ESPN, specializing in feature storytelling covering women athletes, LGBTQ athletes, law and policy affecting marginalized athletes, basketball, softball, and combat sports.

Since joining ESPN in August 2015, they’ve written on myriad topics, such as transgender athletes, campus sexual assault, sports leagues incursion into public policy, racial justice, Hollywood stunt doubles, and many more.
