Lidia Terrazas

Lidia Terrazas is a national correspondent for TelevisaUnivision based in Texas. Lidia was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and emigrated to the United States when she was 10. Lidia has a bachelor of science degree in communication studies and a master’s degree in investigative journalism, both from Arizona State University. Since moving to Texas, Lidia has covered significant stories such as the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, the death of 53 migrants inside a tractor trailer in San Antonio and major hurricanes in the gulf states. Recently, she has covered the constant changes regarding immigration. Lidia uses social media platforms, such as TikTok, to connect with communities. In 2019, Lidia was accepted to the first master’s program of investigative journalism offered by the Walter Cronkite School at ASU as a Roy W. Howard fellow. Lidia’s background in immigration helped her understand new migration phenomena as well as the relationship between U.S. immigration policy and Latin America.
