Lindsay Frey
Adult Services Coordinator, Zion-Benton Public Library
Group: MW/ALA/Stanford: Advisory Board
Lindsay graduated in 2014 with a master’s in library and information sciences from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She began her library career in 2016 at the Zion-Benton Public Library (Zion, Il). In the winter of 2021, she became the Adult Services Coordinator and has been guiding the department toward success ever since.
With her drive to provide accurate and helpful resources to the public, she developed and taught a program on media literacy in 2017. She also founded a non-fiction book club that spurred community discussion amongst its members. The biggest highlight of working in a public library has been the ability to pursue her passion for assisting patrons with all things from access to information, providing guidance towards local resources, and educating on the use of technology.
