Lita Nadebah Beck

Lita Nadebah Beck is the equity issues editor for an Arizona Republic team covering housing affordability and insecurity, K-12 education and child well-being, consumer protection and south Phoenix communities. She was previously a Politics Now editor at USA TODAY and the senior digital manager for audience at the Indianapolis Star, as well as an entertainment digital planner and politics/investigations producer at The Arizona Republic. She has also worked for KJZZ-FM in Phoenix and NBC DFW in Dallas-Fort Worth. She’s a New Mexico native and a second-generation journalist who got her first media gig at age 8 when her mom recruited her for a public-service announcement about brushing your teeth. After working in marketing and higher education, she moved into journalism after earning a second bachelor’s degree in digital art. She is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and is TábÄ…Ä…há (Water’s Edge Clan).
