Loren Miranda

Loren Miranda is a sophomore in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida with a side concentration in political science. She is a staff writer for the Independent Florida Alligator’s Avenue. She reports and anchors for WUFT News and is a copyeditor for Rowdy Magazine. A member of Poynter’s teen fact-checking network for three years, Loren is excited to continue her partnership with MediaWise and continue teaching online media literacy skills. She hopes to one day become a political journalist and share heartfelt stories to positively change the world.
