Mary Bishop-Baldwin

Mary Bishop-Baldwin has been an editor at the Tulsa (Oklahoma) World since 1995. She previously was an assistant professor of journalism at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She has a master’s degree in mass communication from Arkansas State University and completed additional post-graduate work at Oklahoma State University. As a journalism instructor, she gave her students lots of feedback on their writing, studying grammar and stylebooks to make sure she could back up the corrections she made to the students’ papers. As a newspaper editor, she is known as the resident expert on grammar and style. Bishop-Baldwin was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame in 2019.
