Melissa M. Stewart

A lifelong Houstonian, Melissa has 25 years’ experience in a variety of public, private and nonprofit companies in executive leadership, operations, training and program development. Her background includes a wide variety of industries and company types ranging from a start-up to Fortune 1000 companies.

Ms. Stewart joined the Greater Houston Restaurant Association, a chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association, in 2013 as their Executive Director for Houston and the South and Eastern Texas Region.  In this role she supports and represents restaurant members in their goals for advocacy and education to help make their business successful.

Melissa, her husband Richard and their daughter Sallie live in the Champions area of northwest Houston with their four rescue dogs (Jayne, Millie, Buttercup and Vendetta) taking full advantage of the fabulous food, theatre, museum, and cultural offerings throughout the Houston area.
