Mia Uzzell — Florida A&M University

Mia Uzzell is a junior at Florida A&M University majoring in broadcast journalism. She is currently the editor-in-chief of FAMU’s award-winning publication, Journey Magazine, a daily magazine that covers campus news and how national news impacts HBCUs. In her free time, she is a freelance writer focusing on culture, identity politics and education. Mia’s love for investigative journalism has called her to serve as a MediaWise Campus Correspondent as she believes contextual and accurate reporting is the future of journalism.
