Rebekah Allen

Rebekah Allen is the politics editor of The Texas Tribune, where she has worked since November 2019. She first joined the Tribune as news editor, helping to navigate the organization’s coverage of the coronavirus. She transitioned to the politics team in July 2021. Allen previously worked as a state government reporter for The Dallas Morning News and an investigative reporter at The Advocate/Times Picayune in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Allen was also part of the inaugural class of ProPublica’s Local Reporting Network. She graduated from LSU and grew up outside of New Orleans.
