Shawn Chen

Shawn Chen is a digital storyteller who has helped lead The Associated Press’ digital transformation efforts. As a story owner, he has shepherded coverage on stories such as the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, the Ebola outbreak in Texas and Hurricane Harvey. Chen joined the AP in 2007 as a digital transformation editor and designer in the Washington, D.C., bureau, where he produced award-winning interactives and spearheaded digital training efforts. Before coming to AP, Chen was deputy managing editor at Atlantic Media.
