Tobias Sytsma

Tobias (Toby) Sytsma is an associate economist at RAND and a professor of policy analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His research focuses on international trade and supply chain frictions, technology, natural disasters and climate change, economic development, and workforce development. His recent and forthcoming research includes analysis of AI and automation in the workplace, globalization, and the economics of foundation models. Toby graduated with a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Oregon in 2020.
