Tony Barboza is an editorial writer for the Los Angeles Times who covers climate change and the environment. Before joining the editorial board in 2021, he worked for 15 years as a Times reporter covering air quality, climate change, environmental health and other topics. Tony also serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Environmental Journalists. He was born and raised in Colorado and is a graduate of Pomona College.
