Torrance Latham

Breaking News Editor, Miami Herald

Group:

Born and raised down the bayous of South Louisiana, Torrance Latham grew to be a connoisseur of crab legs, shrimp, crawfish and boudin. For the past year, he’s now added ropa vieja, arroz con pollo and stone crab to his culinary repertoire while also steering the ship on the breaking news desk as night editor for the Miami Herald. Prior to living in the 305, Latham made a home in Chicago, also working in breaking news — this time at The Associated Press as a reporter and night supervising editor for AP’s Central region, covering 14 states. He is a father of two beautiful kids: daughter Tamera, 6, and son Tristan, 2.
